The November edition of No Sleep, officially the Best New European Festival, which will close EXIT’s successful festival season, starts today! No Sleep Festival and the conference will keep Belgrade awake from Friday to Sunday at noon at nine locations! The epicentres of the two-day festival will be the Main Hangar of the Port of Belgrade and the iconic Belgrade club Drugstore, and the headliners include some of the biggest stars on today’s electronic music scene – Amelie Lens, Reinier Zonneveld live, Ida Engberg, Indira Paganotto, Partiboi69 and Regal.
On Friday, 11th November, the audience will get to see Reinier Zonneveld, one of the most sought-after techno stars conquering dance floors worldwide, the unique showman Partiboi69, techno maestro from Madrid Regal, the Dutch DJ diva Kiki Solvej and the rising star of the Novi Sad scene Katalina.
On Saturday, 12th November, the stage will be set for superstar Amelie Lens and the representative of the Spanish underground scene, Indira Paganotto. Koboyo will bring us Berlin and Detroit techno, and the line-up will also include DJ Jock and Sarajevo DJ Edib D. On both nights, the gates of the Main Hangar will be open for visitors from 10:00 p.m. to 04:00 a.m., and the festival programme will last from 10:00 p.m. to 07:00 a.m.
On the festival’s first night, the Belgrade club Drugstore will bounce to the sound of rap, trap, drill, and R’n’B, brought to you by Grše, Banfica, Kali, La Crl x Louis x Libede x Sele, Thicc Boi and Sara. These young and fresh local and regional performers have millions of views on streaming platforms and sold-out shows in clubs across the region. The programme will last from 10:00 p.m. to 04:00 a.m., after which the first festival afterparty, an indispensable part of any No Sleep Festival, will begin at 06:00. The star of the first No Sleep morning is Ida Engberg, Swedish techno and deep house producer/DJ with over two decades of experience on the music scene, German-Iranian DJ Human Rias and Belgrade DJ Antrax.
The second day of the festival at the Drugstore club will be marked by the WB Community Party, hosted by DJ King of the Clouds, who will perform from 10:00 p.m. to 05:00 a.m. Sunday’s afterparty will be the responsibility of Matisa, who comes from Florence Andrej Jelić, one of the founders of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian club scene, and Dejan Milicevic, a local audience favourite, who will close the No Sleep Festival and this year’s season of EXIT festivals at noon on Sunday, 13th November.
Aside from the two central locations, other #NSF programme will bring two sleepless nights to six more Belgrade clubs – Silosi Beograd, 20/44, Ben Akiba, Dim, Yugovinyl and Backstage. At Silosi Beograd, Olga Korol, Pascal Walter and Masha will perform on Friday, and Maria Nordgren, Bugsy and Doo will play on Saturday. Saturday night fever at club 20/44 will be brought by DJ Brka and Tomislav Grujić. The first party in Ben Akiba will be started by Dakman, followed by TYOMA and Nemax, while the second night, Saturday, will be marked by Ska, Anyushka, Una Andrea, Vahicabi and Despic. Whitegirlstudyplaylist will welcome the audience at Dim on Friday, while RAR will do the honours on Saturday. At Yugovinyl, Gaggie & Friends will play on both nights, while Baka (Let’s mix it) and Milhøuse will play on Friday, and Danijel Čehranov will take over on Saturday.
Hottest Topics in the Music Industry at the No Sleep Conference
The traditional No Sleep conference will gather the relevant actors from the music, festival, and event industries on the 11th and 12th of November at Marsh Open Space (Cetinjska 15). The panellists will include Indira Paganotto, Dragan Ambrozić, DJ Jock, Dejan Milicevic, and various music agents and managers who will bring the most current topics from the world of music through specialised workshops and educational conference content. The conference starts at 03:00 p.m. on both days, and admission is free for all interested parties. Visitors will have a chance to learn everything about starting their own label, creating a music portfolio, the future of the music industry, but also how to improve their production skills with DJ Jock. Tickets are available here. The exchange of festival tickets for wristbands, as well the sale of tickets, will take place in front of the Main Hangar (Žorža Klemansoa 37) on Friday and Saturday from 09:00 p.m. to 04:00 a.m.
All festival ticket holders (standard or VIP) are entitled to a single entrance during one festival evening into the central festival location – the Main Hangar – and an unlimited number of entrances to other festival locations, depending on the occupancy of the very limited capacities of the venues in question. Almost all locations have limited capacity, so visitors are advised to arrive on time.
It is important to note that due to road works, Zorza Klemansoa Street will be closed during the festival. The central location of the No Sleep Festival – the Main Hangar of the Port of Belgrade can be reached from two directions.
From Venizelosova and Poenkareova turn into Knezopoljska. Then, turn left into Dunavska, which leads to Zorza Klemansoa, directly ahead of the main gate of the Port of Belgrade and the entrance to the Main Hangar. You may also use the other gate on Dunavska Street at the first turn from Knezopoljska. When you pass the gate, you need to turn left and continue to the intersection, where you will turn right towards the entrance to the Main Hangar.
From the direction of the Pancevo Bridge, i.e., along Dunavska Street, Go straight along Dunavska Street to the corner with Zorza Klemansoa, i.e., to the main gate of the Port of Belgrade and the entrance to the Main Hangar. Also, from Dunavska, you can turn right before Knezopoljska and use the other gate. When you pass the gate, you need to turn left and continue to the intersection, where you will turn right towards the entrance to the Main Hangar.
